Description

When I was running the queries on a daily basis for endgame, I read the results for every query (Open ${} Results) and it feels weird that it renders on the right side. It might be because of my workflow:

  • Click on the run button (on the left side)
  • Wait it to finish
  • Cell execution status shows success (checkmark on the left side)
  • Then I need to look to the right side for the results

When using on a large monitor it's a bit struggling but YMMV.

Research direction

Start by locating the UI that renders “Open ${} Results” and the cell execution status in this TypeScript VS Code extension. Trace how the query result control is positioned relative to the status indicator; done means the result appears on the left side, near the run button and execution status.
