Describe the feature you'd like

This may very well be a duplicate issue, but I tried to find a similar issue here and couldn’t find one.

Right now I have to build my project before I can click the Run/Debug arrow or before the tests appear in the Test Explorer. In comparison, ReSharper’s new VS Code plugin detects the tests without requiring a project build first.

Is support for this something that’s planned or currently in the pipeline?
