Description

Issue Type: Bug

Previously, I'd be able to disconnect/detach the debugger, its no longer an option for the plugin. This was useful when sending a Ctrl+C signal to a C++ application and not having the GDB intercept it.

Extension version: 1.5.0
VS Code version: Code 1.62.3 (ccbaa2d27e38e5afa3e5c21c1c7bef4657064247, 2021-11-17T08:11:14.551Z)
OS version: Windows_NT x64 10.0.19043
Restricted Mode: No

Research direction

Reproduce the missing disconnect/detach option with VS Code 1.62.3 and extension 1.5.0 on Windows, using a C++ application under GDB. Compare the debugger controls with the previously available behavior, then verify that detaching lets Ctrl+C reach the application without GDB intercepting it.
