Description

If you hit F5 or Go or Continue after hitting a breakpoint (debugging a native Microsoft C++ application under Windows), VSCode retains focus and the application continues to run in the background.

Please add an option to give focus back to the application being debugged. So if you hit a breakpoint, you can continue and have the application switch to the foreground. This is the default behavior in Visual Studio btw.

Thank you.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the native Microsoft C++ debugging flow in VS Code, focusing on what happens when F5, Go, or Continue is used after a breakpoint. Done means an option exists to return focus to the application being debugged and switch it to the foreground, matching the requested Visual Studio behavior.
