Description

From @nholthaus on October 17, 2016 20:11

Allowing for expressions in the watch block of the code debugger is really helpful! But it would be even better if it was possible to trigger a breakpoint automatically if the expression or evaluates to true (or changes, whatever is easier).

Visual Studio has a similar feature for reference.

Research direction

Start with the debugger's watch block and the linked Visual Studio conditional-breakpoint reference. Determine how watch expressions are evaluated and where breakpoint triggering belongs. Done means a watch expression can automatically trigger a breakpoint when it evaluates to true or changes, with the supported behavior documented and tested.
