Description
I would like to debug a C++ program on linux without installing any additional terminal emulators like Gnome Terminal or XTerm.
Setting "externalConsole" to false doesn't help.
Is there a way to configure the debug session so that it uses VS Code's debug console or the integrated terminal?

Research direction
No files or tests are named. Start by reviewing the C++ extension's Linux debug configuration handling for externalConsole, then assess whether the debug console or integrated terminal can be selected. Done means providing a supported configuration path or clearly documenting the limitation.
