Description

If a custom configuration provider is explicitly specified in the current configuration in c_cpp_properties.json, and that provider is not actually installed (or has failed to register for some reason, after a timeout), the C/C++ Extension could display a warning message, to give the user a clue as to why IntelliSense is not getting properly configured.
