Execute debugger commands using "-exec ", for example "-exec info registers" will list registers in use (when GDB is the debugger)
- effects both Ubuntu and Fedora Linux
- Hello application is compiled and can be run at CLI without issue

Research direction
Start by reproducing the documented C++ compile-and-run flow for the HelloWorld application on Ubuntu or Fedora, then inspect the GDB output showing SIGSEGV in _dl_unload_cache. Compare the debugger run with the successful CLI run and determine whether the extension's launch path is responsible. Done means the same application runs under the VS Code debugger without the segmentation fault.
