[Bug] cmake syntax highlighting is broken

FYI, The color theme was Dark Modern. I used ssh with Windows host PC, working on Linux server.

No source files or tests are named. Start by reproducing the highlighting difference in VS Code 1.21.36 over SSH on a Linux server, using the Dark Modern theme, and compare it with 1.20.53. Done means CMake syntax highlighting works correctly in the reported setup; the issue's diagnostics and debug log provide no additional starting point.
