Description
In Swedish we have letters a-z and å, ä and ö. Azure resources can be named using these. But if I open a directory containing a Resource Group with a name including [åäö] in the VScode azure extensions I get the following error message:
Error: "resourceGroupName" with value "<name with [åäö]>" should satisfy the constraint "Pattern": /^[-\w._()]+[^.]$/.
Since Azure is fine with names containing åäö I think VSCode extensions should be too.
Perhaps replacing the \w with \p{L}\p{M} would do the trick?

Research direction
Locate the resource-group name validation responsible for the reported Pattern error, then reproduce it by opening a directory containing an Azure Resource Group named with å, ä, or ö. Done means those names are accepted by the VS Code Azure extension without the constraint error.
