Description

I need to sign in to Azure from browser for my company VPN to work properly.

I was using browser signin page until a couple of weeks.

When I needed to login a couple of days ago I tried as usual but VSCode now opens azure login in a internal view / internal window. I can't sign into my company VPN account this way.

Is there any way to force browser login or login with device code?

I have tried using Azure CLI in VSCode terminal but that doesnt integrate with the azure extension viewer, it just signs in in the terminal.

Research direction

Start by reproducing Azure sign-in from the VS Code extension and compare its internal-view flow with the Azure CLI terminal login described in the issue. The issue mentions browser sign-in and device code as possible outcomes, but names no file or test; done would mean the extension offers a usable sign-in path for the company VPN account.
