Description

This is an extension to #57.
Under a certain console/PTY, assume the font family/size is specified, give a string, and return the space (a bit mask of the character matrix?) it would occupy.

Research direction

Start by reading issue #57 and the console/PTY assumptions described here. Determine the intended API and representation for the space occupied by a string, including how the font family and size affect the result. Done means the required measurement behavior and return value are clearly defined and implemented.
