Description

Windows Terminal version

1.25.1912.0

Windows build number

28120.2738

Other Software

Test Environment:
OS Version: Windows 11 version 26H1 (OS Build 28120.2738)
App Name: Windows Terminal Preview

Steps to reproduce

Pre-requisites for applying reflow:

Change the display resolution to '1280 x 1024', set scaling to '100%'.
Open the application & resize it to minimum.
Turn on Magnifier at 400% zoom & verify whether we are able to view content in one dimension of '320 px' view port or not.

Repro Steps:

  1. Launch the 'Windows Terminal' application.
  2. Login with valid credentials, if required.
  3. Press 'Ctrl + Shift + F' keys.
  4. The 'Find' bar will open.
  5. Observe the available controls in the 'Find' bar.
  6. Observe the 'Close' button.

User Experience:
Users who require reflow may be unable to locate or access the 'Close' button, making it difficult to dismiss the 'Find' bar.

Expected Behavior

The 'Close' button should remain visible and accessible after applying the reflow settings. The content should reflow within the available space without hiding or clipping any controls.

Actual Behavior

After applying the reflow settings, the 'Close' button in the 'Find' bar is not visible.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the Find bar with Ctrl+Shift+F at 1280 × 1024, 100% scaling, minimum window size, and 400% Magnifier zoom. Investigate the Find bar UI and its reflow behavior against the linked WCAG reflow guidance. Done means the Close button remains visible and accessible within the available viewport.
