Research direction

Start by reproducing the issue on Windows with Microsoft Pinyin, comparing Alt+Tab activation with mouse-based window switching. Trace the Windows Terminal focus and input-method handling around window activation. Done means returning with Alt+Tab no longer forces Microsoft Pinyin, while normal input-method behavior remains intact.
