Research direction
Start by reproducing the crash in Windows Terminal 1.21.10351.0 on Windows 10.0.26100 using the reported settings-pane and “Restore the last closed pane or tab” sequence. No source file or test is named; done means the settings pane reopens on the second attempt without crashing.
