Research direction

Start with the AtlasEngine rendering path and reproduce the issue on Windows 10.0.22621.3007 using Windows Terminal 1.19.10292.0 and characters containing left and right corner brackets; compare their placement with the old renderer. Done means the brackets are centered within the two-character space rather than aligned to its left.
