Description

From a discussion on Friday:

It'd be cool if there were automatic profiles to SSH to Hyper-V VMs. Presumably, these would come pre-configured with the commandline set up with the ssh key generated for that VM. So whenever you create a new VM, _bam_, it's right there in the list of profiles.

Implementation wise, this is probably better off implemented as fragment profiles that Hyper-V populates. That being said, I'm gonna track this here because it's a really cool idea we should follow up with the Hyper-V team on.

Research direction

The issue proposes Hyper-V-populated fragment profiles for SSH access to newly created VMs. Start by investigating the existing fragment-profile integration and the Hyper-V team’s available VM and SSH-key metadata; done requires an agreed integration design and a scoped implementation plan.
