Region Name: UAE North
Region ID: uaenorth
Justification:
We are a Fintech company operating in the UAE. Under Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) regulations and the UAE Data Protection Law (PDPL), we have strict data residency requirements that mandate our operational and management data remain within the country.
Currently, the lack of an Azure SRE Agent runtime in uaenorth prevents us from adopting this tool, as using the existing regions (Sweden/US) would result in a cross-border data transfer violation. Adding this region is critical for financial services compliance in the Middle East.
