Description
When WSL is installed and active with more that one Linux distribution (tested with Ubuntu and Oracle Linux, Ubuntu and Kali). The Intune WSL plugin causes WSL to crash (RPC error) and the WSL service will not start or function.
Unregister / remove all but one Linux distribution and WSL works again

Research direction
Start by reproducing the failure with WSL and more than one installed and active distribution, using the Ubuntu/Oracle Linux or Ubuntu/Kali combinations reported here. Compare it with a single-distribution setup and investigate the Intune WSL plugin involved. Done means WSL starts and remains functional with multiple distributions without an RPC error.
