Description

New-PowerBIReport -Path is not accepting reportname which has dot like report.powerbi.pbix

When Ever I am running it just publishing with Name: report

Instead of it should take Name: report.powerbi

Do we have any solution or work around for those reports which has dot in name ?

Research direction

Start by reproducing New-PowerBIReport -Path with a report named report.powerbi.pbix and compare the published name with the expected report.powerbi. Trace the cmdlet's path and filename handling; done means dots in the report name are preserved while the .pbix extension is removed.
