[BUG] The configuration build is not pulling the builds that are defined in the project file?

I am configuring the MSIX build and package task and in it there is a drop down menu for the Configuration, it only contains options for debug and release.

However, we only have build configurations for debug, demo, development, and production and we are using SlowCheetah to identify which appsettings.<environment>.json file to use. So, we need to be able to add these additional build configurations so that the correct appsettings.json file is used. How can we add these build configurations?

Note: we must have the correct build configuration for our releases. Otherwise, this is a show stopper.

Start by inspecting the MSIX build and package task and the .wapproj ProjectConfigurations entries shown in the report. Determine how the configuration dropdown is populated and verify that Demo, Development, and Production are recognized alongside Debug and Release; the task should use the selected configuration when building and packaging.
