Description

I just copied this vite example code to codesandbox, it doesn't work:

https://codesandbox.io/p/sandbox/monaco-editor-issue-xzv9z4

Expect to show a simple editor, but it will keep loading forever.

I have also reported this issue to codesandbox, I'm not sure which party is the root cause.

Research direction

Start with the samples/browser-esm-vite-react example and reproduce the endless loading in the linked CodeSandbox. Compare the example's behavior in CodeSandbox with its expected simple editor behavior, and determine whether the fix belongs in the example or the CodeSandbox setup. Done means the example loads and displays the editor in that environment.
