Description

Is there a public API available to launch new processes in the same networking compartment as the container? I assume I need to interact with HCN to start a process just like a container is started in a network compartment.

I am using containerd v1.4.0 along with hcshim v0.8.14 to create containers.

Research direction

Start with the HCN networking API and the process-launch paths exposed by hcsshim, using the containerd v1.4.0 and hcshim v0.8.14 versions named in the report. Determine whether a public entry point can place an external process in a container's network compartment; done means confirming the supported API or documenting that it is unavailable.
