Description
As Hyper-V (next) is becoming mainstrean on Linux as a the root partition for Microsoft Hypervisor, what API would be used for the VMM (e.g. by a Powershell script running or Bash script running on the root partition of the Linux host)?
Is it something that will be managed into this project or another one ?

Research direction
Start by reading the linked Linux kernel mailing-list reference and the hcsshim project context. Determine whether Linux root-partition VMM management is supported here or belongs to another project, and identify the API that a PowerShell or Bash script would use; the issue is done when that ownership and interface are clearly documented.
