Description
kubectl shows server/cluster side version when running kubectl version, it would be nice to do the same for sqlcmd --version.
(Also, should we implement sqlcmd version as an alias for sqlcmd --version , to be more consistent with modern POSIX style CLIs

Research direction
Use the existing sqlcmd --version entry point as the starting point, and compare its behavior with the described kubectl version output. Determine how the server or cluster version should be obtained and displayed, and whether the proposed sqlcmd version alias is in scope. Done means the command reports both versions with agreed wording and the alias decision is resolved.
