Randomly added / inserted numbers on startup

This does seem to be somehow related to usage within Wezterm, but I don't know where the issue lies. I do not have such behaviour in other shell applications.

I recorded a video of it. It only happens after opening it twice it seems.

First reproduce the startup behavior in WezTerm, opening the editor twice as described in the report, and compare it with another shell application. Then trace the startup path responsible for terminal output; done means the editor no longer inserts or displays random numbers during startup in the reported environment.
