Many projects now involve multiple systems, and ensuring correct synchronization of master data such as customers and items is critical to avoid operational issues.

Proposed New Process:

Objective: Validate that data flows correctly between CE and FO, covering entities like customers, products, orders, and transactions.
Scope:
Synchronization of master data (customers, products)
Synchronization of transactional data (sales orders, invoices)
Error handling and reconciliation checks
Key Activities:
Define mapping and expected data flows between CE and FO
Execute automated and manual test scenarios for data sync
Log discrepancies and provide remediation steps
Provide dashboards to track synchronization health over time
Expected Benefits:
Increased confidence in multi-system projects
Reduced risk of data inconsistencies and operational errors
Support for smoother project delivery and handover

Suggested Process Category:

Could be introduced as a new cross-system validation process under Project Delivery / Integrations or as a sub-process in Idea to Portfolio / Initiate to Close, because it affects project setup and ongoing governance.re
