While attempting to edit ABAP files using agent mode, you will experience tool failures.

Logs (optional)

No response

Tool calls should be able to edit the necessary ABAP files.

It will eventually give up and present the code changes to edit manually:
Due to tool limitations, I'll provide the exact changes needed:

Additional information

I have noticed is a complete restart of Eclipse helps, but only temporarily. For example, I did this and attempted my prompt again with multiple file edits needed, and it worked only on the first file then started failing again.

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named. First reproduce agent-mode edits across multiple ABAP files in Eclipse 2025-09 and capture the tool failures before and after restarting Eclipse. Trace the edit-tool failure from the captured output; done means repeated multi-file ABAP edits complete without falling back to manual changes.
