Start with DockerImage.java at line 57, then inspect ContainerRegistryDockerfileActionsProvider.java and DockerRunLineMarkerProvider.java around the stack-trace calls. Reproduce the IntelliJ Dockerfile action path on the reported environment and determine how a VirtualFile without a parent should be handled. Done means this path no longer raises the reported NullPointerException.
