Start with Account.java at getSubscriptions and getSelectedSubscriptions, then inspect AppGroupedServicesRootNode.java at onAuthEvent and its initialization path. Reproduce the IntelliJ EDT exception with an account that is signed out or has no subscriptions; done means that state no longer produces an unhandled exception.
