Start with CVECheckService.retrieveVulnerabilityData at CVECheckService.java:312, then follow fetchCves, getCveUpgradeIssues, and batchGetCVEIssues in the reported stack trace. Reproduce the GitHub Security Advisory API connection failure and trace how it propagates through JavaUpgradeIssuesDetectionService.getCVEIssues. Done means the connection failure no longer produces an uncaught exception.
