Start with MavenProjectReportGenerator.java, especially findAnnotatedMethodCalls at line 226 and its callers analyzeCode, inspectRootMavenProject, and createProjectReports. Trace how Maven project reports are generated under IntelliJ's progress and coroutine context, then reproduce the reported exception on the listed IntelliJ and plugin versions. Done means the analysis no longer raises this IllegalStateException.
