Start with the stack trace in AzureTelemetryClient.java, especially getClient at line 176, and follow the calls through AzureTelemeter.afterExit and log. Reproduce the IntelliJ freeze if possible and determine how telemetry work reaches the EDT. Done means the reported 19-second EDT freeze no longer occurs during the shown exit path.
