Description
Description
When Apple Keynote is in fullscreen presentation mode, the zoom function firstly can be a bit glitchy (flashing of screen before zoom). But more importantly the drawing mode cannot be triggered using mouse click, the click causes the presenter view on the non-presentation display to flash. In Powerpoint this all works great.
Current Behavior
- Glitchy zoom
- Drawing mode fails
Expected Behavior
- Smooth zoom
- Drawing mode works
Steps to Reproduce
- Run Keynote on a two display setup
- Go into fullscreen presentation with presenter mode
- Try to use Zoomit to zoom and draw on a slide.
Product Version
12.3
macOS Version
macOS 27 public beta 4

Research direction
Start by reproducing the issue with Apple Keynote 12.3 on macOS 27 using two displays, presenter mode, zoom, and drawing. Trace the macOS input and presentation-mode handling for zoom and drawing; done means zoom no longer flashes and drawing can be triggered without the presenter view flashing, while PowerPoint behavior remains working.
