Research direction
Start by reproducing the packaged MSIX app from a new empty WinUI project with Windows App SDK 1.8.260209005 on Windows 10 builds 17763 and 19041, then compare it with 1.7.260208005. Investigate the compile-and-run behavior and lack of error messages; done means the app runs and displays its window on both affected versions.
