Description
I am trying to get the https://github.com/microsoft/Windows-classic-samples/tree/main/Samples/CredentialProvider sample working.
First I had to retarget solution to get it to compile in VS Community 2022 on Windows 10.
As per the instructions in the README, if I try to debug the project, I get error SampleV2CredentialProvider.dll is not a valid Win32 application
What am I missing?
Thanks

Research direction
Start with the CredentialProvider sample README and its Visual Studio 2022 retargeting setup. Reproduce the debug attempt on Windows 10 and inspect the project configuration and generated SampleV2CredentialProvider.dll. Done means the sample builds and the documented debug workflow no longer reports that the DLL is not a valid Win32 application.
