Description

On Vibranium, marked a display as "Remove display from desktop".
On Vibranium, DisplayCustomCompositor sample is not reading target.UsageKind() as winrt::DisplayMonitorUsageKind::HeadMounted. I tried will two different displays, no matter UI setting, UsageKind is read as winrt::DisplayMonitorUsageKind::Standard. I modified sample to pass the check to make progress, but is this a known issue or being fixed in later builds?

Research direction

Start with the DisplayCustomCompositor sample and the target.UsageKind() call. Reproduce the behavior on Vibranium with two displays and the “Remove display from desktop” setting; done means establishing whether Standard is expected, identifying the affected build, and documenting whether the issue is fixed in a later build.
