Description

I'm running example which is "Windows-classic-samples\Samples\Win7Samples\multimedia\directshow\vmr9\vmrplayer". When I use the same video file, repeate play and close operations, the memory usage will inscrease a fixed amount per time. For example, 10MB -> 15MB ->20MB ->25MB. There seems a memory leak.

Research direction

Start with Samples/Win7Samples/multimedia/directshow/vmr9/vmrplayer and reproduce the repeated play-and-close cycle with the same video file while monitoring memory. Trace the sample's playback and shutdown paths; done means identifying and fixing the reported per-cycle memory growth, with memory remaining stable across repetitions.
