Lifting the Dilemma between Hybrid Sleep and Hyper-V

To enable WSL, we need a specific Windows feature, namely "Virtual Machine Platform." However, with this enabled, Hybrid Sleep for laptops will no longer be possible, as "The hypervisor does not support this standby state." Hence, users are forced to choose between longer battery life and WSL, which is entirely unreasonable.

It would be nice if the WSL team could pass this message to or work with the Hyper-V team to prevent this kind of dilemma.

I understand the problem may come more from the Hyper-V team standpoint than WSL. From what I understand, Hyper-V comes from Windows Server, which is reasonable to assume that the machine will never be put in S4 (hibernation) power state. Yet, this is not reasonable for laptop users, as battery life matters significantly to users like me.
