Will Win11 WSL features announced before Win11 (e.g, WSLg) ever be backported to non-insider builds of Win10?

I had been looking forward to several features announced for WSL before Windows 11 was announced (such as WSLg, block device mounting in WSL, etc.) that, from what I have been able to find, are currently available for WSL on Windows 11, but are not available in Windows 10. My devices currently running WIndows 10 do not meet minimum specifications for Windows 11, and with electronics prices up due to all the COVID-related supply chain issues, my hardware budget (if I buy anything at all in the near future) will not be spent on replacing these devices in the near term. I'm also not horribly interested in running insider builds (my Ubuntu daily-driver stays on LTS releases of Ubuntu).

I would like to see WSLg, etc, backported to WSL on Windows 10. In particular, I would like to know if there are any current plans for such a backport (on a scale from "definite release date planned", through "maybe at some undetermined date", to "never").

Describe alternatives you've considered

I have one Linux box that could run a VM meeting Windows 11 hardware specifications, but I have not been able to find information on purchasing a license for general-release builds of Windows 11 in such a use case. Microsoft's documentation on obtaining Windows 11 seems to assume one of the following:

1. Upgrading from Windows 10 on hardware that meets Windows 11 specifications.
2. Purchase of new hardware from an OEM with Windows pre-installed.
3. Enterprise volume licensing.
4. Insider builds.

Start with the issue body and its single comment, then verify the current Windows 10 status of WSLg and block device mounting. No files or tests are named; done would require a maintainer-confirmed answer about whether these features will be backported and on what timeline.
