Description
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I mapped a samba share to a drive letter through WinExplorer and would like to use it with rsync in WSL, but can't see my newly mapped drive in /mnt/.
Describe the solution you'd like
When I map a drive in WinExplorer, would like it to see auto monted in WSL.
Describe alternatives you've considered
I've considered mounting it my self, but since there are no entries in /etc/fstab, I would rather not touch.

Research direction
No source files, tests, or entry points are identified in the issue. First locate the existing drive-mount behavior, then verify that a WinExplorer-mapped Samba drive appears under /mnt/ without requiring a manual /etc/fstab entry.
