Description
I was trying to install **lustre client** in my **WSL2 Ubuntu 24.04** machine. But after installing the **lustre-client-modules** and **lustre-client-utilities** from [https://downloads.whamcloud.com/public/lustre/latest-feature-release/ubuntu2404/client/](https://downloads.whamcloud.com/public/lustre/latest-feature-release/ubuntu2404/client/) and rebooting my system. When I tried to load lnet modules, it got a **module loading **error**.**
After some grinding on the internet, I got to know that **Microsoft WSL2 does not contain the default kernel headers ource and modules as in a usual linux system**.
Also, I was trying to build a **custom wsl2**. But after trying a lot, I could not achieve my goal of installing a clean lustre client on WSL2 system.
It would be very kind if I **could get a guide or some good reference to use lustre client support in Microsoft WSL2 Ubuntu 24.04**.

Research direction
Start by reviewing the WSL2 Ubuntu 24.04 environment, the lustre-client-modules and lustre-client-utilities packages from the linked download location, and the reported LNet module-loading error. Done would be a verified guide or reference explaining whether Lustre client support is possible in this setup and what configuration is required.
