Description
Per the ProjFS team VFS4G should ensure that all paths registered for notifications exist before registering for them.
Current list of paths
- Empty string (i.e. the root)
- .git
- .git\index
- .git\logs\HEAD
- .git\info\exclude
- .git\HEAD
- .git\refs\heads
If the paths do not exist VFS4G either needs to create them or fail the mount.

Research direction
Start by locating the VFS4G Windows notification-registration and mount setup code, then inspect how the listed paths are handled before registration. Verify that the root, .git paths, and referenced files or directories exist, or that mounting fails when they cannot be created; confirm the behavior against the ProjFS requirement.
