Intellisense keeps crashing

Basically what happens is that the "Loading intellisense status" spinner spins forever, no matter what I try restarting, including killing the entire remote server, restarting the extension host, reloading the window, restarting TS server. It just stays spinning. While this is happening, the normal navigation that I require for my projects is simply offline. No suggested properties, no navigate to definition, no find all references. I just get that infinite loading bar that scrolls across the top of the window. Running `tsc` works perfectly fine and gives me all my expected errors. There are no obvious reasons why this is happening. It doesn't appear to be directly related to typescript.

No idea what's causing it, but often have to reload the window to get it working again, which seems unusually disruptive to normal development. This is a typescript project but I've been using the same version of Typescript with no issues. Not exactly sure how to downgrade either.

Correction: I have to kill the remote server and reload the window.

Correction: That did not fix it. Workaround unknown.

Start by reproducing the issue in the remote SSH workspace and compare the TypeScript server and extension-host behavior with the working tsc command. Check the TypeScript server or extension-host logs while the “Loading intellisense status” spinner persists.
