Description

It seems that during inference, not much GPU memory is used, even though the GPU usage is at full capacity. However, the memory usage is quite high.
How much memory is actually required? when running on a server with 12GB of RAM, it was directly "killed".

Research direction

The issue names no file, test, or entry point. Start by reproducing inference on the reported 12GB-RAM server and measuring host and GPU memory. Done means documenting the memory requirement and determining whether the reported memory behavior is expected or a bug.
