Description
The current visualization of STL uses the built-in XML dialect, which is inflexible. The debugger actually has an API https://github.com/Microsoft/ConcordExtensibilitySamples/ that allows types to be visualized programmatically. Perhaps STL could consider adopting it. A complete example is https://github.com/microsoft/cppwinrt/tree/master/natvis.

Research direction
Start by reading the ConcordExtensibilitySamples API and the cppwinrt natvis example linked in the issue. Compare their programmatic visualization approach with the STL's current built-in XML visualizations, then clarify which STL types and debugger behavior should be covered. Done requires an agreed scope and working Visual Studio visualizations with validation criteria.
