Research direction
Start by reading WG21-P1317R2, the LWG-4567 note, and the related tracking issue #5606. The issue provides no source files or tests; completion would need to align apply() and the listed feature-test macro with the referenced standard changes, though the issue says C++26 feature PRs are not yet being accepted.
