Description
WG21-P3029R1 Improving mdspan And span CTAD
No feature-test macro is mentioned.
In general, we are not yet accepting PRs for C++26 features. However, libstdc++ and libc++ are implementing this paper retroactively, and we'd like to follow suit. It is generally a highly compatible change (although it has source-breaking impact for very specific code that I am confident will not a problem in practice).

Research direction
Start by reading WG21-P3029R1 and then locate the existing mdspan and span CTAD implementations and tests in the STL repository. The change is done when the paper's improvements are implemented retroactively, with behavior covered by the relevant tests and no feature-test macro added unless the paper requires one.
