Description

Presently it's not-obvious how to work with a ParameterWithSetpoints with >1D setpoints.
Making the call to the expand_setpoints_helper automatically would save the user having to worry about this.

Research direction

Locate ParameterWithSetpoints and expand_setpoints_helper, then trace where results are added for parameters with more than one dimension of setpoints. Determine the expected automatic expansion behavior and add or update coverage for that path. Done means users no longer need to call expand_setpoints_helper manually when adding these results.
