Description
Users have reported that QCoDeS visa instruments do not work with pyvisa-py the pure python implementation of VISA but only with NIVISA. This seems to be because we are using NI specific functions in cleanup code
- [ ] Identify and protect by feature flags any NI specific code
- [ ] Test that basic instrument communication works with pyvisa-py
- [ ] Can we add a test for this?
